Let's talk about funding. Every spring, the budget comes down as we know, and the budget is received by Elk Island Public Schools.
At that time, they, begin to go through the funding manual and make sense of, different grants and allocations.
And at that time, they, start to predict what the fall is going to look like. So what the following school year is going to require from that budget and whether or not they have what they need to be able to continue the programs and services that they are currently providing.
They also take a look at what their projected needs are with projected enrollment and things like that, and they, try their very best to do the best kind of planning that they can at that point.
I've been very fortunate to sit around tables for many years, probably more than, a dozen years, and hear from the superintendent and, central office staff as they
explained how the funding manual works and how the budget impacts, Elk Island Public Schools each year.
