Let's talk about learning conditions In Elk Island Public Schools. Learning conditions are supported in a couple of different ways.
System programs can support learning conditions for students who have differentiated or diverse learning needs, meaning that they've identified something that would be beneficial, like smaller class sizes, and are able to provide that environment for those students.
Alternative programs are another way that learning conditions are supported that gives students choice in maybe, French immersion or Christian education, programs of those natures.
The important part is to understand that, the board must approve the, allocations for those programs. And so when the budget comes down in the spring, they have to take a good look at the different types of system programs and alternative programs and ensure enrollment is there and the financial allocation is there to support it.
